ted im not a pulling truck builder, what does the tank do in the front?
its for sure a tough looking truck, I like the wheels
yes, it is one of the few common rails with a p pump. he has a bunch of electronic gremlins to work out, because the cp3 is no longer there, and that was a while ago

viking-
I think the truck is sled pull only, but I am not sure

here are the only pics I have of a p-pumped common rail.

Ted--let me know if posting these pics is out of line, I will delete them if you want me to.

This topic comes up every couple months or so

hope this helps

I figured you replaced the CP-3 with the p-pump. What kind of benefits do get out of it? Does the p-pump put out the pressures for a CR?

wow good question t-boe I never thought of that
does it still have CR injectors???

one thing for sure is all the High HP &TQ trucks run a P-pump that has to tell us something......probably that we need a engine management program to make the most of our computerized engines.

you can get a lot more fuel( I dont know about pressure) out of a p-pump, but I dont know how you make the injectors work. Also, like I said earlier, the electronics are a booger

There was a p-pumped 24 valve (green, 2wd, dually)at a dyno event in Buda TX, that put down 8XX hp, and maxed out the tq at 1500 ft lbs. A p-pumped conversion is hard to daily drive, from what I have read on here and other sites.

the conversion completely does away with the common rail setup. uses diff. injectors. the preasures are lower but not need for the injectors. the pics. with the clear hose was on a customers truck that i p-pumped just a little more breathing that way (clear hose helps moniter blow by you can tell if you are loosing oil or vaper). the conversions are not bad to drive on the street, just like any 12v engine if tuned right.

no problem on the pics thanks for posting them.

Was p pump mostly so you turn more rpms or what??

I mean a don't know what it takes to make a puller but a guess no one has made a cp3 or injectors big enough yet to get over 1k horsepower I would think a fair amount of drugs would be needed to get there to with the common rail.

yes, he is probably running more RPMs than most common rails when pulling sleds, and the p pump is helping him do that
