Solid 3 mpg increase. Thanks TS Performance..

I just thought with the high fuel prices others would appreciate this info. I drove my 06 to KY from FL. My fuel mileage on my way there was upper 19's with the cruise set on 78. When I was there, I had TS install one of their transmission control boxes and an MP8 installed on my truck. While I was in KY, the truck dynoed 751 hp, and 1,512 torque. On my way back yesterday, the truck got right at 23 mpg with my cruise again set on 78. That's a solid 3 mpg increase. I wanted these parts for performance, yet the extra mileage is awesome.. Now I can't wait to see what it does for the quarter mile times..

Was that 23 mpg the overhead or hand calculated?

Can't be that good. The only reason I think of for this increase is due to while driving to kentucky you where going up hill and when you went to florida it must be all down hill right?.....lol No but really whats this mp8 thingy? and would be used on a manual trans?

MP-8 is an adjustable pressure box. Increase in MPG is directly related to better atomization of fuel. Increase in pressure, to a point, results in decrease of injector life... that is if you abuse it and use bad fuel... otherwise can be a nice box to stack with.

Yes, it's hand calculated. Keep in mind, my truck with everything in it weighed somewhere around 6400 pounds with all my stuff in it.. I also have 3.42 gears that put me a hair under 2,000 rpm running 78.. I'd say the lockup box has a larger effect on mileage than the actual MP8. The overhead is incorrect in my truck with the added pressure. It was fairly close before.

O ye of little faith. I am a tad over 600hp and at 7800 lbs, I can get 21mpg hwy. Better fuel atomization (read: superior injector) is key.

Don't be so quick to call BS. Brad's truck is night and day different from yours. Do you have any experience when it comes to mileage on a 750hp 2wd standard cab w/3.42 gears that's been shortened. Yeah, I didn't think so.
