I think it's just plain funny... Over on another forum a newbie to the game came on a asked "Do you think I have enough mods to run a Smarty". Looking at his sig was like wow.... He had twin 12" woofers, Flip out DVD player, Spray in bed liner, Pia lights, LED bulbs, Flip out side steps, 20" Wheels... But nothing on the upgrade of performance to the motor, tranny, or exhaust.... Now that's some funny stuff right there....

I thought the TNT-R was meant to be fueled to 4k rpm? Why didn't you run the TNT/R for what it was intended to do? The BD put down some good numbers, but IMO they are close enough to warrant any differences on any other truck, as they all act different to mods. torquebeast I haven't looked hard at your sig but you did have springs to run to 4k rpm correct? I know it wouldn't affect peak horsepower much but I think it would affect track times considerably.

not sure how fueling at 4k is going to help an auto on the track?

As these trucks are dyno'ing in the low to mid 500's....do they have enough supporting mods for a level 9 TnT/r run? or could it be that the mods were limiting the tnt/r's performance.... I mean wouldnt a truck with medium+ injectors, cp3 stage 3+, fuel pump, big turbo or twins, valve springs to get to 3800+ rpms, .......get much more than mid 500's in the hp department? After all, that's what the /r was built for (heavily modded trucks), not for a truck like mine or close too....i know regular tnt doesnt work as well as the betasl on mine (as i haven't installed turbo or arson as of yet...but think that will change with additional mods).... just a thought?

DTB also dynoed the TNT/r vs 2.4.D on his 06 and made more power with the BD in the 750's

I have not tested the TNT/r but have tested revo vs and BD 2.4.D we noticed a trend with the 06+ trucks and 2.4.D turning better numbers then wanted to test a 05 thats when TB got involved. I honestly didnt think the PL would beat the tnt/r on a 05.

We even dynoed both of them on my truck... The smarty tnt/r fell off fast after 3400 or so.. The BD stayed until 3800 ... The BD made over 40 peak HP and like 100 tq more... Even more in the lower RPM's 2200-2600 like 100 hp or so... So with all the supporting mods for both the BD well out performs the Smarty...

The TNT/r should have fueled to 4k, don't you have the option to run stock rpm TNT/r or 4k rpm TNT/r? Just wondering here if we're trying to make an honest comparison of this.
