thought I would just post up on some of my findings from the smarty. Have had it for quite a while now and have tried alot of things. Early on with the smarty the version 4.09 gave really good results. When 4.11 came out I averaged 18.5 mpg. This was on level 9 aftermarket turbo. This is normal driving not easy not beating. I'm in the applachian mountains so lots of hills and hardly ever flat driving. When the tnt and the revo came out I tried them both. With the TNT loaded I averaged approx. 18.5 to 19. This was level 7. With the revo I only averaged 18.5 again. This was level 9. Then changed the revo to level 1 mild tq mgt. and i went up about 1 mpg but i couldn't stand not having power. So after all this i decided to dig up the old v4.09. Loaded it up. running level 9 moderate tq. Now i'm back up to averaging 21-22 mpg. These are all hand calculated too. Its absoutly amazing the difference how the new smarty programs are more refined. I had to relearn how to drive the truck with the old program. It smokes like a freight train, runs hotter than all get out. Is snappy with the pedal and i LOVE IT. Not going back especially with these fuel prices. So in conclusion the old program has netted me 2-3 mpg better.

did you try any other timing levels on the tnt besides 4? 4 is the lowest level of timing.

 

ah sorry my bad. I forgot the tnt was different than the revo. I actually had it on 1 i believe. Or which ever setting it is for the most timing. might have been on the default timing level. Didn't have it on 4 cause like you said thats the lowest timing. I had it on the most timing. thanks for catching that.

 

My truck seems to love the 4.09 too, not sure if there is more timing in the program or what it is. It actually sounds like it has more timing, especially at idle, but I am getting the best mileage with 4.09 as well.

4.11 was the worst for me and revo was second best, but 4.09 blew them both away. I haven't run the TNT

 

What I get from this is how much versatility Smarty gives you... how many other devices out there provide so many programs to choose from?

 

My best fuel economy was with the old 3.07 program.

Where did you get the "V4.09" at? I dont know if ive got it. I what those numbers!

 

can anybody send me one of the old programs like 4.09. I use to have them but my computer crash a few months back. I sent bob a pm but he has not sent me nothing back yet he just a busy guy.
