Smarty JR or Stealth Performance module??
Smarty JR or Stealth Performance module??
Hello everyone, been reading lots about the Smarty Jr but very little info out there for the Stealth Performance module. Finally decided to add a programmer to my truck after many years of driving it stock. I'm not necessarily looking for power gains but more for usability with the power our trucks make. I want to pull the hills at same speed I do now but just want it work easier at it and run cooler (egt's). Truck is not a daily driver, it's mostly used for pulling my Toyhauler and enclosed cargo trailer. TH 12k loaded out and 5-7k loaded out for enclosed trailer. My pulling is anywhere from flat pulls to the dunes to up to 9500' elevation in eastern AZ mountains. Warranty obviously isn't an issue for me but my stock 48re is....I had a Roktech timing advancer and have removed it recently. I've noticed a difference when I removed it. May just put it back on in the meantime. I know with the Smarty I would have to leave it off, not sure about the Stealth module.
I have a friend that put the Stealth on his 6.7 and he loves it. Any thoughts on whether one is better than the other would be greatly appreciated.
Side note, I'll be moving back into a county where I'll have to smog my truck every year. Would I have to take each tuner back to stock settings in order to get it to pass?
Thanks in advance for any input.
