smarty jr mpg?
I have searched and read till I cant think no more. But want to know what are some exact mpg changes yall have had with the smarty jr.
I have a bone stock 05, drw, 4x4, 3.73 gear. I use it for work daily, and am not looking for a hot rod just better mpg. And the smarty seems to be the only one that the dealer cant trace. It only has 36,000 and some change on it (dont want to void any warranty). Fuel is so high now I figure it should pay for it self quick, if it realy helps mpg.
Thanks

Some depends on how you drive your truck. I have certainly seen improvement with mine and my truck just has a filter kit. I used to keep it in the economy mode and get 1 to 1.5 mpg better. I loaned it to my brother in law and he ran his on the 100 hp setting and exceeded that by quite a bit. (he runs 37's though and was on a long road trip) Anyways, I am averaging 2-3 mpg better now that I have bumped up to the 70 hp. But I drive my truck pretty easy and do a bit of mixed driving. You might have to play with the different settings to find the right fit for your truck, but I don't think you will be disappointed. Plus it makes the truck just seem more driver friendly, even for the guy who doesn't hot rod it. My calculations are hand calculated and all my mileage has a mix of trailer pulling, city driving and freeway driveing. In all cases though, the mileage has increased and average of a legitimate 2 to 2.5 mpg. Hope this helps.

I have been experimenting with the different settings. The last two weeks I have received 17.8 and 18.5mpg on level 2 (Towing). The first week was without using the "tow" setting and the last week was with the "tow" setting on. When I say "tow", that the button on the transmission gear selector.
My normal commute is only 12 miles one way. 1/3 at 35mpg and 2/3 at 65mph.
My truck has approx 28K miles on it now.

I've got mine stacked with a Predator stage II fueling box. With the Jr. set to economy I went from ~19-20 Hwy MPG (no load) to 23-24 MPG, at 110 Kph.
I haven't done a lot of experimenting with the other two settings yet.

After a 600 mile same tank round trip with "TOW" loaded pulling a 2500# utility trailer from 230' elev to 5000' 300miles at 4000' flat and some headwinds/tailwinds I had a hand calc of 19.5mpg. Good for my rig! If you are complaining of smoke or bragging of power, your mileage will suffer! I don't even know it is there other than a fresher throttle response. But it really wakes it up if you mash it! It is still in the foot. I'll be doin the basic same trip this weekend empty. More data to come.
