smarty jr and emission testing

Can you pass emission test if you have no cat and use the POD feature to detune engine?

Thank you

The PoD won't detune anything as far as emissions is concerned. It takes x fuel to run the rpms that the emissions tester wants.

The best way to pass is to go back to stock, you 'should' be fine without a cat.

If your state has the opacity test I think the POD would be beneficial (especially if you have aftermarket injectors) by setting the Jr to SW1 stock timing, stock tq, and POD 0. What are your thoughts ?

You wouldn't be able to rev it up if you had to. Lowest smoke comes in stock trim.

PoD reduces output by reducing the effective throttle positoin. So PoD 99 allows 100% of TPS input .PoD 0 allows 0% TPS input, your truck would only idle.

My 06 will still drive up to about 15 mph when set to 0 and will not smoke. I have not tried revving while in neutral but I figure if it will pull itself 15mph and nothing more it should rev sufficiently and not smoke at all for a snap test. I will try POD 0 again tomorrow and report back.
