Thats the spirit.

I hope this whole DIY cp3 thang aint all its cracked up to be. I have talked myself out of doin it again, but my truck has been runnin for 2 days now and I am already thinking of pullin off this brand new FCA and moddin it.

I am eagerly awaiting your dyno numbers/curve.

Yes sir. I still got the 0251, 2509, and 0191 but the 0191 is the mp8.

I havent had many starts since I got it back.

I am seriously considering pulling the metering valve out of my old FCA, drillin the end cap and puttin it back together. I can swap out and FCA in roughly 8 to 9 minutes now, so it shouldnt take me long.

BTW, I ment to mention, if you got a GDP fuel filter it makes changin FCAs a huge PITA.

did you try to clear them???

I think when I do my GDP 2micron kit I will do the remote style(back by the tank) so I dont have to worry about it....
Will, would you have to move yours if you had dual CP3's???

wap 04-20-2007 08:01 PM

Good question, I havent really thought about it. But everyday that goes by I feel I get closer to the need for duals, and I dont know if a stage 2 will cut it for what I have planned. I am sure John can set me straight when the time comes, maybe a stage 3 will be enough.

It may be a pain to do the remote mount but probably worth it in the long run IMO.

No, I have not tried to clear em. Did you pm me on how to clear em or was that in a post?

dodgezilla04 04-20-2007 09:18 PM

Well i wont be dynoing the cp3 mod and hot smarty, testing the smarty tonight i blew the rear freeze plug. so i am down until i can order the block off plate from cummins.
unless someone has the plate dimensions with hole center to center distances and diameters so i can machine something tonight.....

I cant find any real code clearing methods for our trucks,(without a scan tool) but I did post a few things to try in your other thread...try them and tell if it works:cool:
it should work........
