I just put mine (for the first time) on #6 and tried it out, conservatively... Holy Crap Batman!!! I love this thing!!

 

your tranny stock? it won't last long!. mine is screaming already and I have only gone to 3, run #2 now.

 

Yes, stock tranny (for the moment). I have seen in some other threads that folks have run with a stock tranny on #7 but don't do hard launches etc. and have had no problems. I take off easy, no punching it... but at speed on the highway it has some major get-up-and-go power. Take it easy and it should be OK from what I read. I hope I am right!

 

my converter will slip like heck when i am in lockup on the freeway and then accelerate to pass someone.

 

I am seriously considering a VB and TC upgrade, just saving the $$ to do it (momma has other things in mind right now!!)

 

I thought about that and might do that when i get home for christmas. my tranny builder lives in Idaho and will be there for a couple weeks. but i really want a full built version. don't like doing things twice.

 

Full built = major $$$, right? I was not sure if the whole build was necessary. I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I sure don't want to blow up my tranny either!

You could do just a vb or shift kit that will up the pressure enough to help things out, then rip things apart for a complete rebuild at a later date.

 

Just got my Smarty Jr. today does that make me #99?
