Smarty ABS Programming?

I just got my Smarty JR yesterday, which rocks by the way. The power is awesome and the smoke is hardly noticeable.

I have a question about the ABS programming. I set it up for 35" tires. Went out for a drive and at 70mph I must of only been doing 55-60mph tops. What are you all running your settings at with over sized tires?

Would I be better off to leave it at the stock setting or will that mess something up?

Mark the tire with chalk and mark that point on the ground. Then drive one full rotation and again mark the ground, where the chalk mark on the tire.

This will give you the true tire diamater for the ABS repgrogram.

Mine is only off 1 MPH, so I did not even mess with it.....

I know that my 35's are not really 35's, they are like 34's.

So I reprogrammed it again to 33's and the it still didn't seem right. I wonder if I just leave it on the stock setting 28".xx?? if that will cause a problem for me?

Also does the Smarty JR do boost fooling?

If you know someone with a GPS you can dial the MPH in perfect. I used my Magellan and just adjusted size until they were as close as I could get them.

I'm running 34.3 or something close to that just had to keep playing with it to get close using GPS.

Im about to run down to my truck and try and get it adjusted right.

So if I find a GPS it will tell me my exact mph? And then I can base my reading off the GPS and compare it to what my speedo says?

Yes the GPS will show mph while driving. I did this at various speeds from 25 - 80mph to see how accurate my settings were.

Just Google your tire manufacturer then look for your tire and specs on their site. Make sure you use the manufacturer's site, allot of the distributors have incorrect information, tire rack being one of them.

I used 36.5 for my 37" BFG All Terrain's and it's out by 1 mile per hour. Close enough for me.

I went to Toyo's site and it looks like they are 34.8's The Smarty is programed at 35's right now. From what I can tell im about 10mph off(or I should say 10mph to fast on my speedo). On my speedo the TC won't lock until 63-65mph. It has always been locking at 53-55mph before I started to mess with the ABS settings. If it's .2 off will that make the mph that much out of wack?

No, 2 tenths isn't that big of a deal but I'm sure it's not 10 mph either. Nice thing about the abs settings on the Smarty, it takes longer to take it out of the box and put it back than it does to change the tire size.
