I was thinking about buying a smarty for the 1/2 power feature.
I searched and couldn't find any info that helped.
I was wondering on the 1/2 power setting how much of a mpg gain would I see??
I was thinking that when I'm working out of my truck I could put it to 1/2 power setting and get great mpg. Then when I want to play I could retune.

Would then be any ill effects from driving alot in the 1/2 power mode?

I had probably 650hp on normal low settings and on the 1/2 power setting I had a hard time going up small hills unless I pinned it to the floor....with twins It took 20 seconds to get to 10psi of boost. Because I didn't build boost I didn't see any mileage gains. 1/2 power at 1200 rpm is like 50hp ... barely enough to run the fan, CP 3, waterpump, oil pump, alternator, a/c and tranny losses. If you don't get better mileage on SW1 than you can try it for a week and tell us all what we are missing. ks
