Site's most common thread: So I am thinking about going with a stack
I've run an SPdiesel box in my 05 quad cab, long bed, dually for 2+ years now and been extremely satisfied with its performance. Pulled over 400HP and 780ft/lbs on the chassis dyno and runs consistent 15.0x in the 1/4 in 100% street setup...drive there, drive down the track, drive home, never even touch tire pressure.
Anyway, I've got the bug to get a little faster and I am now considering ordering up the smarty. I've read through a long list of post from search about TST, quad, etc stacks and quickly fried clutches, but very little from auto owners and nothing about long term affects. Anyone got 80k clicked off on a stack yet? I've got 60k on the SP box. My understanding is the Sp box is similar to the other brands out there in that it does boost, timing, and pressure. For those that are stacked with an adjustable on the go box like this and a downloader...how do you find yourself controlling/playing/running it on a daily basis?
I'll give you an example, with my current box I drive it set all the way up, basically all the time when doing my daily 62 mile (each way) commute. When I am towing or its raining, I leave the boost up and turn down the rest of the settings. It takes me .0001 nanoseconds to make this change, 'flip' and I am set. So in my mind with the smarty I would want to literally download the program and forget it and end up with a setup where I still maintain the on the fly flexibility from seperate box controls and not have to keep plugging in. Most of the posts though focus on "yeah I plugged it in and swapped from 7 to 3 to tow, or for this or that. Is that cause its the new shinny object and you want to play with it or do you need to play with it? Have you been able to reach a medium like this where you have a program downloaded and you set your box control and just drive and when you hook up the trailer and just flip the switch on the box you are ready to go? I'm all about simple power
I'm not too keen on having to run through in my head...."ok now I need to take box 'a' and set it like this, and then plug in module 'b' and download that"

Well, I just stacked my BDPP with my new TST R49AP, and this thing is insane. I have now downloaded the BDPP back to stock to get my TST dialed in, and then will download my BDPP on the setting (50HP) The adjustablity on the TST blows my mind.......
Set boost levels
Adjust timing
Adjust rail pressure and comes w/ a rail pressure gauge
Cool down timer for EGT and time after shut off
Programs of fuel economy, Standard program, tt03, tt05 prgrams
9 different levels of HP and 9 different levels of TQ
Safety feature for overboost levels and EGT levels (will defuel once it hits the parameters you set)
Absolutely crazy onwhat you can do with this box. Now I jsut need to find a clutch that will hold the power
