blacksunshyne, I bet I know who drives that D-max, more than likely Nathan's truck isn't it?? & the Dodge, is it an 06' inferno red QC dually??? if it is I remember it being in at Ken's when he busted the clutch/flywheel up pretty bad!! don't know the guy with the Dodge, but if it's Nathan's D-max ur talkin about be sure & tell him I said hi next time you see him, & I also have the same setup on the 01' 3/4 ton of my g/f's & it's not really bad about smoking up the rim, but it only has a little VA box, so not much smoke to get on the wheel anyway!!! LOL

i have the side exit on my truck and i love it, as far as the tires melting, i think that is a myth. my tire has not melted yet. the only downside is having crome wheels and the soot gets all over the wheel and sidewall of the tire. but i will be powdercoating or anodizing my wheels. here are some shots of my setup

Yeah it is Nathan's truck, and the Dodge dually was the one at Ken's with the busted clutch/flywheel. I still dont know how he (the guy with the Dodge) did that. The truck was stock at that time, I guess it was one heck of a learning curve on how to drive a manual. That is a small world, I will tell Nathan that I saw you on here

Have you pulled anything with that setup? My neighbor had his out the side on his Furd V10 and pulling his 5ver his chrome tip turned gold and bubbled the paint on the quarter. I know it wasnt a diesel but I think the same principles apply. I really like the look though, the angled exit looks much better than the factory on a 97 F150 I had that came straight out, perpendicular to the body; it looked cheesy

I love the sound, very low and loud. But, I dont like it coming out in front of the tire, it looks so vulnerable, tommorow I am going to add more pipe and put it out like the stock setup only with 5 inch pipe.

I have bad soot buildup with my setup, but I have a dually. I would think that would still cause soot to buildup on a SRW. That's gotta be loud.
