I like NRIVER's truck too, like the look of stock rims....but I would have to have a 4in lift for 35,s (just my opinion) and would have to gear to 4:10's , then might as well put a locker up front........nevermind, better not get started, lol

BUT that exhaust....its the best thing on the truck! haha.......

Yep that 24'' long tip looks great! Just don't look at those welds underneath.. Seriously, I love the way it sounds too. It's never gonna sound as good as a 2nd gen, but for a common rail...it ain't to bad.

Yep, I may need to do that. The chrome tip just gets covered in road debris and soot anyway. Might as well get out some of that wood stove paint and get with it. Maybe next meet.

NRiver's truck looks totally different now. He has Chrome Weld Wheels on it now. Before he had the black powdercoat similar to mine, but I think his flaked or peeled or something and didn't work out. I haven't had any problems with my powdercoat at all....at least not so far. That pic of NRiver's truck listed on the 2nd page was a LONG LONG time ago right after he got the truck. But I always liked that look and that is why I am considering it now.

I have already painted the ends of my axle tubes black and plan to powdercoat a set of lug nuts black too. At the moment I am actually running it with the black wheels and no caps. I like it.

I have not voted yet, as I keep changing my mind as well.

I went away from the Stock wheels for many reasons. Mostly due to Tire rub issues with the 37s. Then a bad experience with the powder coat. Then found a deal on some Weld wheels. So they are on now. Then I got tired of paying a hundred bucks every time I change the tires to a new set of wheels....

As for what to do with your truck, I am over the blacked out look. Although I did just do the black head lights. So I really dont know how to vote.

Thanks for the comments on my truck. I may go back to this one of these days.

It was one of my fav looks.

Mirrors up and all black wheels. Leave the chrome at home.

CTD & nriver,
Do yall have any issues with frame flex and the outskirts of your bumpers hitting the body? My frame (or the body mounts) has a bunch of play and the outskirts of the bumper has actually come into contact with the body just behind the headlight.

That's ok. Thanks for your comments and ideas! Right now, I guess im leaning toward the look of your pic above with the blacked out wheels and no caps. That seems to be the favored direction of the poll too.

Did you just use touch up paint on your lug nuts after torquing down the wheels????
