Seat cover install question.

Hey guys. I bought the OEM seat covers for my '06 quad cab, but I have zero idea how to put on the covers for the back seats. It appears I have to lay the backrests forward to clip the straps that hold the cover on the seat. Could somebody tell me if this is right and how on earth I'm supposed to get the back of the rear seat to fold forward?

I completely removed my front and back seats. IT MAKES IT MUCH EASIER. It doesn't take that much longer to take the seats out. I did not recover the seats. I just took off the factory seat covers, put them in the good old washing machine, dried them and covered them with Scotchguard. I also added a little extra foam cushion to the drivers side. They are holding up much better to stains. The front seats are easier than the back seats to put back on. I had to take a couple of time outs. It can get frustrating at times. Good luck. it just takes some patience

Hmmm, sounds like you're talking about the actual covers. I'm refering to the aftermarket OEM covers with the ram's head on the head rests.

Same thing.

The "trim" is held on with a series of "J" (or arrow) clips and some velcro.

For the seat bottom cushions, just take a peek under the seat, it is held on by a few clips that hook right onto the frame, the backs will be a little tougher, but same idea.

You will need to "set" the seat cushions, lining up the hook and loop with the corresponding parts of the foam. If you set them too far forward, you'll see the carpet back sections at the meeting point of the a & b surfaces. Set it too far back, it will make it tough to get the front J hooked.

Simple really, just take your time, don't get frustrated and rammy with it.

Hmmm, I'll have to take a look when I have a little time. I had to put the fronts on so that my seats don't get filthy. The picture illustrations Chrysler uses in the instructions are absolutely terrible IMO.
