Scout II controls the Smarty will it hurt anything?
Scout II controls the Smarty will it hurt anything?
Well I talked with jeremy at Quadzilla about the Scout II, and he told me that it will control the levels 0=9 only not the 0-99 settings within each level. It will only take a push of the button and it will change it. No download time or anything like that.
I just wonder will it affect anything with smarty switching it withoit the Smarty Pod?
Bob or Marco any idea on this?
I am planning on getting the smarty for the power and the Scout II for the gauges. Would be nice to switch from 5-3 when I am towing and not plug smarty in and change the old way.

I don't know why it would...
It won't change the levels like you are thinking. You wont be able to go from SW5 to SW3. That would mean that the Quad has all the Smarty tunes in it, and they figured out how to make it on the fly and Marco didn't.
What they did is make 10 levels of PoD, vs the 99 Marco offers. So you load the level you want to drive and, say SW5. Then you want to drop the power a little for whatever reason so you use the Quad for Level 7, thats the same as PoD 70.
I personally don't use PoD for daily driving. I did for a long time and saw no mileage gain, thou I do like the softer pedal of PoD 80 or so, but since I DD my truck so little it lives on PoD 99, except when on dirt roads I will drop it to 70 when towing and 40 when empty.
The thing about the Quad I like best is that you can have it reduce power when cold, I would be all over that option!
I wonder if the Edge CTS will get this feature too, lots better gauge options.
