Question Rim Sizes?

Hey guys, a friend of mine has a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 HO CTD and he is interested in some bigger tires and new rims. My questions are, what size tire will fit on the stock rims to give him the most width and height. I believe they are 265 60 R17's but I am not sure, It's whatever comes stock on the truck from the factory. Can any of you guys give me some suggestions on tire sizes? Also does anyone have aftermarket rims? He kind of likes the ram logo in the middle. Anyway to incorporate this into new rims or maybe rims that have this? Thanks, any info would be appreciated.

I've heard of several people doing 315/70/17's. He could also buy a set of H2 wheels off of EBay for like $50/wheel, modify them a little to fit, and mount the 315's very easily.

Check my pics, I have a dually, however I am running 17X10 AE 589's in the front with 285 BFG muds, it makes the 285 wide and looks good. The wheel doesn't even come close to the suspension link arms like some aftermarket wheels do. Not to expensive, about $150 each.

PROCOMP 17x9's w/ bfg 315's. Watch out w/ 17x10's, I bought a set of American Racing's and they didn't fit due to my brake caliper. The wheel shop said they could grind the caliper down 1/8" and they would fit, I said no way! The procomps do sling crap all down the side due to offset...

I've got BFG 35" Mud Terrains on stock steel rims.

In my gallery you can see the tire and wheels setup on my truck. The stock wheels will hold 315's or 35" Tires with no problems. I have experienced no rubbing or problems for 4000 mile with this setup.

I was gonna go with an all terrain tire but desided to go Muds and am glad I did. I was worried about too much noise but they are plenty quiet.
