I'd give them a shot.

Well, I can't speak for the KORE kit specifically, but in general a comparable system will improve your ride quality, and will probably improve handling while unloaded, loaded and while towing.

But when you say "improve", what do you mean? 'Cause with the Bilsteins you won't get a plush ride, and you won't get something able to swallow up 3' high whoops, but you'll get something pretty capable that offers better on road manners. You shouldn't experience as much bottoming over speed bumps and deep gutters, the rear end shouldn't chatter and drift around so much over washboard dirt roads, and overall the front and rear should feel a bit more balanced, but not perfect (the rear will still feel more stiff than the front). You know what the Bilsteins feel like and how they improved the ride. I'm guessing you will feel about the same amount of improvement by replacing the springs.

Well its just that I didnt see a huge improvement with the bilsteins, although I did put them on at the same time as the HBS, which I know made it ride stiffer. Im mainly looking for an improvement on road!

Offroad, yes the things you mentined, rear soaking a bit more, and front bottoming over speed bumps. I was just under the impression that these type of kits offer a much more plush (cadillac ride'n style) ride than your average lift kit, or stock suspension, while at the same time soaking up a bit more off road. Thats what Im looking for, just dont know if I can achieve it!

You can, but probably not with the Bilstein shocks. That's going to require something tunable, like a 2.5 King.

The HBS spacers should move the front axle at least 1/8" towards the driver's side of the truck.

Our eccentric aftermarket trackbar bushings center the axle properly with lifts of 0-8".

Excellent! Will look you up at the track in Houston this weekend (ODRA National Finals) to discuss getting a set.

just a side note, you can buy the Lorenz stuff al-la-cart. Juat get the parts you want. Probably more than in a kit. If you were wanting to keep your shocks and just get new springs.

Thinking the others may do that as well.

So with your trackbar, I will be able to get my wheels aligned perfectly?

I know this is not going to make my truck ride smoother, but it might help with tire wear, death wobble, and the truck pulling to the right?

Im thinking this is not all Im looking for, I am after a mush smoother ride than what I have, Im tired of getting beat up going down the road!

Our trackbar bushings center the axle and remove the slop that contributes to death wobble. They work very well with our sector shaft stabilizer to cure front end problems.

Of course, it'd be a good idea to make sure your front-end is aligned properly.

I thought the mini packs help smooth the ride by taking out the overload and providing a more uniform loading once you reach that point of the spring?

There must be a better answer to the rough back end of these things.

Also, I noticed while towing my 5th wheel the rear end shocks aren't up to the task. I've often wondered if the 5100's would help me any, but I've read reports of them not being all that.

Are the King, Fox, and other shocks rebuildable when it get to that point?

Are you saying to get it aligned properly before the install of this track bar, or after? FYI, I have been to multiple shops, and nobody has been able to get the alignment within specs. They tried to get it close, but ran out of adjustment. With an otherwise stock suspension, the HBS causes the front end to stay out of alignment!

The mini packs do help smooth the rear end out, but they can only help so
much. You're still using the majority of the factory spring pack and bushings, and factory shackles and bushings. To really smooth out the rear you need a full replacement leaf pack.

The factory shocks are junk...period. And that goes for just about every factory shock, not just the ones on our trucks. A shock like the Bilstein will make a difference, but like the mini pack it can only do so much.

King, Fox, Sway-A-Way, Radflo, Donahoe Racing, etc. all make tunable and rebuildable shocks.

Is there a replacement spring pack that retains the stock load capabilities though?

Yes and no. Up to 1000 lbs, maybe even 1500 lbs, you won't have a problem. Beyond that and you'll need something to help them out, like air bags.

You can't have your cake and eat it too.
