RBP locking fuel door HELP!

RBP locking fuel door HELP!
So I just bought a locking fuel door from RBP.
The instructions are absolutely NO help, and it is not flush with the body of the truck.
Has anyone on here installed one or even any other locking fuel doors?
It looks like I'm going to have to cut/file down part of the body inside the door just to get the **** thing to fit.
Any help?
