Rancho 5000's for 2wd are now available!
Gents,
those of you with the 2wd trucks should be happy to know that Rancho 5000's are now available for the 04-05 CTD'S. I went into my local 4x4 shop this morning and called Rancho myself just to back up what my shop guy told me. My set will be in tomorrow, so I can install them this weekend. Got all 4 for $150.00.
Here are the Rancho Part numbers:
Front-5279
Rear-5269

Sounds like a great deal. Let us know how do you like them. I have been wanting to put a new set of shocks on my truck since I got it and was planning on bilstiens but I may go for the Ranchos now.

Yes, please keep us posted. Also, how do you like your Glasstite tonneau cover? I was quoted $1100 for the Breeze model, the only one they make these days. Does that sound about right? The A.R.E. and Leer covers are $200-300 less. Thanks, Banshee!

I paid $449.00 for mine (new) at canopy world in bremerton wa about a year ago when they 1st came out. You are being price gouged!!!!! I have no complaints yet. I did have to take it back because it was leaking water when it rained from the front. Fixed now. The hydro assist is nice. The under lining is also nice, and was'nt an extra charge to have. Paint quality is good, on par with the truck paint. Good no drill attachment system. Solid construction. If you can find it cheaper by all means buy it.

After having to wait over the weekend because the supplier had 3 of the 4. Anything is better than stock shocks. My 99 Suburban had HD rancho's from the factory, why cant DC do the same? I'm still evaluating them, I do notice a much better ride. I had a blown shock on the front right that would squeel something mean when the shock got wet. Gone now. I have yet to tow on them, planning to maybe in the next week or two. I am also considering on possibly lifting my truck (4x2) 1.5" front and maybe 1" rear to get rid of that terrible nose down look it has. These shocks should work well with the extra travel.
