It's the MOPAR grill guard designed for the 03-06 trucks. I had to modify it to fit on the 07...

In this months Diesel Power Magazine, they have an article about some gal that built up a Mega Cab (or had it built), and she had a ram induction hood that brought the air along the hood to the stock airbox location. I looked for a pic on the website, but don't see the article. Look on page 158 if you have the mag.

I got it from a member here a couple years ago. It's pretty expensive to buy it through Dodge. I'd keep my eyes open for a used one. That's what I did....
Check E-bay.....

This is the hood I just picked up.
I wasn't really planning on hookin it up, but if there are benefits to be had I may do it. I'm just not sure if a turbo diesel would see any real benefit from it ????

I wish I could find a fully functional one like the one that is on that S10. I found out that the one I liked isn't a functional one.

I don't think you are going to find a functional hood out there for a diesel....

On that link they sell a kit to hook it up for $100. Wonder if it would make a difference?

Ghost Rider has a Keystone Good Hood, and yes it is functional, dumps the cold air onto the air box.

They are 689 plus shipping. They are about the only one that is functional. But as for the ram air box setup. It looks useless. It dumps the cold air in any cold air box in that corner. So I am not going to buy the ram air box. Plus what is it going to ram the air into? My turbo? and then through the intercooler. And if you look at the setup it is not jamming air into anything. Just dropping it into corner. But a good looking hood. I will have it on by the winter

The ram air hood I just bought dioes "ram" it in on a gasser. It has a rubber seal around the opening and then you cut out a square hole on top of your airbox. When you close the hood it seals it.
My question was this... Since , as stated above, you are forcing the air in, but it goes through the turbo, are there any gains to be had ? I would assume the ONLY benefit to hookin it up would be for cold air and not the forced air part of it.

I think Goodhood is making a kit now (or it is being prototyped) for the Cummins. Might want to check their site in a month or so.

Not sure if it would be worth it. Just like the airbox they sell. It's a LONG way over to the intake manifold. Through the turbo then into the intercooler and up around to the horn and finally into the intake. Not really sure what they could do. Unless they package the hood with a bigger turbo and intercooler. But I think the cold air being dumped onto the filter is helpfull. But thats about it. No real ram air affects. And Yes a gasser would benefit from this since they bypass the stock airbox. They set them up like srt-10 hood
