Quick Question: Torque Dog

Anyone know if this has a built-in boost fooler? If it doesn't, could I hook the box up to the boost fooler and than plug the boost fooler into the MAP sensor plug? Would this work? I just installed my Quad fooler last night and am loving it. I am looking for a little more power and there is one for sale on the board that is at a good price. Thanks in advance.

Yes, it has one built in.

The Torque Dog does have a built in Boost fooler. So no need to run the quad fooler.

Thanks guys. Anyone running this on their 04.5? I am considering it because I want a little more power and maybe some more MPG.

I wouldn't stack it with your Triple Dog you will lose right at 30hp

Patriot2500 12-06-2006 10:02 AM

I have the Power Pup, not the Triple Dog.

You will still lose HP if you run the Crazy Larry with the Torque Dog. Because of the timing advance will be too much.

LOL you are joking right?

Please tell me you are not being serious...

seriously there is horsepower lose with stacking the Torque Dog with Crazy Larry. On the timing advance im not sure but i do know for a fact that on a dyno if you stack a Crazy Larry anything with a Torque Dog you will lose about 30hp. The timing was about all i could figure it would be. Anybody ever stacked it on here with different results?

CrashCade 12-06-2006 01:37 PM

That is a common stack. Bully Dog even says you can run a 03 Torque Dog on the newer trucks. I have not tried the older set-up with it. I did Beta test a module for them which created too much timing and threw Cam/Crank performance codes under a WOT load but, never did I lose power.

Luken 12-06-2006 01:45 PM

Almost EVERYONE I have talked to that is running that stack gains 2-3 tenths in the 1/4 with the tq dog stacked.

I run a tst/bully dog. That stack does INSANE amounts of timing advance. I don't think I'm losing any hp. Just headgaskets LOL

With the bully dog/tst alone I dyno'ed the numbers in my sig. If I would've added pressure I think it would be a little higher.....

Than I am sorry for being wrong[dummy] Mister know it all.

Bob Wagner, The distributor for the Smartys called me "Mr. knowitall"

I think there is a limit to how much timing you can advance before things blow up but it really helps keeping the EGT's down and getting some more power.

No offense to ya man! I love my bully dog!

So I shouldn't have any problems stacking this with my PowerPup. I only run the PowerPup on level 2 (90hp) and have never turned it all the way up. If the Torque Dog is going to throw codes, then I am not going to buy it. I was going to run the Torque Dog on level 2 (50hp) all the time and turn it up to level 3 (90hp) when I feel like getting playful with the truck.
