Questions about Kelderman...

So i am running a SuperLift 6" kit for now.. I have been looking and looking and looking more and more into the Kelderman kits, i was thinking the 8"-10" kit..

My question is how does it work?? I mean does it start out at 8" and lift higher when you air the bags up?? I mean can you drive up and down the highway at 8" or does that mean theres no air in the bags and the rides gonna suck??

I got this from the site::

Can I run the bags empty?
It will not hurt the bags to run empty, but the ride will be very harsh. When the bags are empty, you probably will not be able to turn very sharp because the tires will rub on the lower rear part of the fenders.

The if you max them out it throws everything outta line..

Again from the site::

How tall can I run the bags?
Running the bags completely topped out will not only yield a harsh ride, but typically put the pinion angles, driveline and alignment out of specs. It will ride harsh because there is no rebound if they are topped out. When the bags are all the way up, the front left tire will tend to be sticking out of the front fender well farther than the right front.

I like the kits but are they good enough to go 100,000 miles on..

i think they are designed to run with the bag all the way empty, full, or in between... the kits are very well made but i am not an expert...these are just observations from see a lot of rigs with them at shows

I had a 6" Kelderman lift. Rear fourlink setup. The bags aren't empty when you run at the designated lift height. I ran about 25psi in the bags to keep the truck at 6". If I lowered the pressure I could drop to about 1" over stock height and if I increased the pressure I could get up to about 12" over stock height. I set mine up for 6" (alignment) and put in automatic valves so that if I loaded up or unloaded it would always reset the bags to make the truck sit at 6". It was pretty impressive when I hooked up a 45k Generator to the back and the guys were saying how it was going to make the back end sag because of the lift and it did for a moment till the valves kicked in and it leveled the truck back out.

With the front and full rear, autolevelers (purchased from a semi store near me) I had about $5000 into the lift. It was really a cool lift though. A little firmer ride than I wanted at the height I had it set at but it would drive like a sports car. I could smoke my brothers V6 Firebird in the straight or on corners and it hooked up really well .. so well in fact that I snapped both axle shafts with my locked rear end. That was my own stupidity though. Big meaty tires and a grated road surface makes for a little too much traction with the power I was running.

I called them just now and asked them about there kits.. The guy was helpful.. There 8"-10" kit runs $6,250 + shocks + air controlers..

He said the normal ride height is 8"-10" and can go up or down 4"..

I mean is it worth $7000 + probably..
