questions on 06 juice with attitude

questions on 06 juice with attitude

Just hooked up and like so far, but what should I set max egt to and the cool down timer for? Also I set the max boost alarm at 37 pounds and it goes off easy. have raised to 42 and it still goes off if i get on it for more than a second cruizin, i mean instantly. should I raise higher or do I have a problem? need to get the hot rodding out of my system so i can work on gas mileage. thanks for any help howard I have tried searches but only find 2nd gen stuff, guess I am not searching right.

I also was triggering the alarm at 37 pounds, I changed it to 40 and it has not gone off yet. As for the egt I left it at the default setting of 1350 degrees. I don't think it ever went over 1200 degrees. I set the turbo timer at the lowest temp (250 degrees) it usually idles down to that in two to three minutes.

Set your MAX egt's around 1300 to 1350... If you have a stock turbo, you will hit 1350 real easy, so your gunna need a better flowing air filter, and possobly a bigger turbo...

thanks for the responses. forgot to say I also got the afe stage II intake. I raised the set point on the boost alarm to 45 and the alarm still goes off at 37? I can also hear the waste gate go off real loud if I get out of the throttle when the alarm goes off at 37psi. my exhaust is 4" factory, do I need bigger, or maybe a new muffler? do not care to be louder though. thanks again howard.

Take your muffler out and install either a performane muffler or straight pipe it. I have my EGT temp set to 1350 and my turbo timer set to 390. I drove out to Ft. Riley Kansas a couple of days ago and hauled a pretty heavy load back, enough to squat my truck down, and averaged about 14 to 15 miles per gallon.
