I am going to try and download a different program on my Smarty from there download site. My question is do I have to return it to stock before downloading the new file? Also do these normally come with a disk to upload on your computer?

i returned mine to stock...dont know if you have to but i did. and you have to download all the drivers and stuff from mads website. no cd w/ it

I am not sure if you need to go back to stock but it certainly won't hurt anything. As for the software (no disk needed) everything you need is on the Madselectronics website.

 

No, it's not required to go back to stock before changing the program version.
