I just bought an 06 2500 ram megacab. The truck came with quadzilla commander installed on it... My understanding is the commander can be a monitor of different areas of my truck or you can add a module or chip to actually control parameters, increase decrease HP.

My question is how can I tell exactly what I have? On the main screen I can arrow up or down different stages 0 through 3. The reason I ask is because I cant tell a difference Between stage one and stage three as far as power, they seem the same. I would assume It were just a monitor I wouldn't have the options of changing the stages. But admittedly I know just enough to be dangerous... Any ideas on how I might figure out exactly what I have or don't have? Thanks, Alan

 

pitchahead, I have the same setup on my truck. If your truck has a power box it should be up under the dash someplace and you would be able to feel a difference in power when you switch between the 1-3 settings. The previous owner probably took the box off the truck before selling it. The Commander is a really good tool for keeping up with what your enhgine is doing.

Thanks so much for your quick reply.. I went out and looked under the dash and found nothing that resembled the box you have in the classifieds. I'm from Illinois and as luck would have it will be in Austin next week.

 

it may not have a box conected,if its a 3 stage paramter u have,i have a x2 and my camnder gives me 5 settings not 3.u may have just a camnder for monitoring only,if u folow the wires from the pilar where ur camder is u should see if its conected to a box,the cable that conects it isnt long enough to go under the hood so i wouldnt be there,i dont notice a big dif on my x2 race from level 0-3 or even 5.i can notice it above 2k rpm but not much down low where i would like it
