Anyone one have the quad intake with the afe filter? What do you think of it? How hard is it to install? I just ordered that and a smarty jr.!

 

15 minutes for most faster for some, so simple a non trained monkey could do it.

 

Are these intakes any louder than stock?

 

I just put mine in, I can hear a little whistle in the cab, but not near as bad as others.
What I wanted to know, is does anyone know of a torque tube that fits it?
I heard the Cool Blue hose does not.

 

I have the Quad intake and it is a good part. I added the AFE tube. It took a little re-working but in about an hour I had it on.

 

None of them do. I have the AFE tube and it doesn't fit. The only reason the Quad intake is usable is because the stock intake setup kinda sorta fits it. Poor design I'm afraid. The o-ring for the IAT doesn't seal in this intake, either. I had to find a thicker o-ring for it. All the aftermarket tubes I've seen seem to be made to fit to the stock airbox location.
