Quad Rail PSI Gauge
Rail Pressure gauges have been fixed for a while. matter of fact I am not sure we have really had any of the newer ones have any issues?
The old problem (I have went over this before) was in the voltage regulator on the board. The part we were using was superceded and the new part had problems. Since we switch, yet again they are fine.
Basically the piece that turns 12v into 5v was imploding and allowing 12v to a 5v microprocessor. Should not affect the truck but, makes the display and other functions not work.

Glad this was brought up. I have mine sittin in the armrest still. I was undecided bout sendin it in to get fixed. Now i just might.
Gonna go and upgrade my old box too.
I do have a question though. If I swap my standard x for the x2 (non race) is it the exact same program ??? I'm on the fence about upgrading to the race version and am curious if the 2 standard versions are the same .
Thanks, Dan

Shoot me a PM if I've missed something.
How do you know they failed? Because you got a code?
We took a truck and poured water in the RP sensor. Yes, it makes the truck run bad and set codes. Once it dries it works fine? I am yet to actually be able to kill one.
If you have a bad RP sensor I would be happy to test here on the bench and also install it on a truck. If you kill 6 of anything you need to look hard and long.
The RP gauge itself CANNOT kill the sensor. It gets NO voltage or ground from it. It DOES NOT break any conenctions. It puts ZERO load on the sensor as we are using a high impedance amplifier. The voltage source for the gauge is seperate and 100% isolated.
I could see how it is possible that water could hurt them although I have not been able to prove it yet.

Quad, I can send you one of my failed sensors(water-damage), the other I sent to Rush truck center(for warranty since it was only a month or two old), so I don't have it in hand but I can see if it's still available. Let me know.
I have seen two fail recently. The first one the rail pressure gauge had some random leds on but wouldn't read any pressure and made the truck run horrible. Like the rail pressure sensor was shot it was making the truck pop and idle really rough barley drivable. Unplugged the rail gauge and it ran perfect so it was definitely the cause. The second one which is black (is that the new version?) lasted for a week or so and now its just dead. I guess another one is on its way hope it last longer.
