My FP is all over the board too, frankly I am tired of calling and emailing Roark to get a replacement FP sender. They replaced the first one that was a bad sender that wouldn't read at all, and this one jumps all over the place, even though I'm running my GDP @40 psi.
I also still have issues with my screen darkening even after I updated the commander online. If it's hot... and it's Texas... so yah it's hot, my upper left screen is unreadable in the afternoon, the only way I can read it is if I cup my hand over the AC vent and redirect air over the commander, then you can read it once it cools.
Anyone with full set up of analog want to swap for a commander let me know...

I have the Commander and like it alot. My question is the rail pressure jumps around alot. Not sure if this is normal or not. I get simular readings to others but they are not steady. Such as at idle the pressure goes from 6400 to 7000 with a constant up and down reading. At WOT I can get close to 22000 but it is jumping around from 21000 to 22000. Also for anyone who has the dieselmanor transmission cooling line with t-adapter. When I hooked up the transmission sensor lead it also was jumping around very erradic. I ran a external ground and it is real steady now.

As for the rail pressure I would say your readings are normal. Rail pressure is very jumpy and the Commander is "real time" so you see all the jumping. It all has to do with how it achieves pressure using the FCA and then seeing pressure drops when injectors fire as well. Sounds completly normal though.

well i got a call from Roark today saying he could not find anything wrong with my harness. But after playing with it was able to reproduce the problem

He will be sending me a new harness as soon as he gets one from the manufacturer. I guess they are on backorder.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but if I am just running the Commander for monitoring with no module, where do I tap to get the rail pressure reading? The instructions that came with the fp sending unit and harness mention tapping a line from one of the Quad modules. Can I take it right from the stock harness? and if so, which wire? I appreciate any help.

p.s. I run 8-9 psi on the fp sensor under varying conditions.

Yes get it from the same wire on the factory harness. If you ever upgrade and get a module then you will want to switch it to the module wiring.

Add me to the list of the same problems.

Lound idle cladder, loss of power, and can't get the gauge hooked up to work with the MP-8.

1. Sensor & RP gauge = works fine
2. Sensor, RP gauge, MP-8 = no workie
3. Sensor, MP-8, RP gauge = no workie

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!!
