Quad race box and TPS wire
Quad race box and TPS wire
I cant find the recent thread with TPS locations. I know they are in different locations for manuals and autos. I have 04.5 w/ 6 speed. Is it under the intake like Quads website says or under the drivers battery like the recent post? What is the wire color, the site says it is wire #6, but the picture shows and automatic truck. for the 05, says it is under the pedal and use the 2nd wire closest to the drivers seat. Help. thanks
dodgezilla,
I have an 04.5 6spd. My tps is under the driver's side battery box. If yours is in the same place, it will be the brown wire with white stripe. I just found the right wire and tapped onto it out from under the battery box. This makes it easy to get to if there is a need. Hope this helps.

upgraded the standard for the new race box. I am now banned to the smoking section. It took longer to wipe the grin off of my face than to do the install. The instructions reference you to there webpage, where it shows the location for an automatic.
The easiest way to find the TPS and tap it is: Follow the cable out of the fire wall, you'll find the tps. If yours is under the battery, grab the plastic cover for the tps and pull towards the engine, the cover will unhinge. Feel the harness with your fingers, the plug has a tab on the bottom, squeeze the tab and unplug. there is enough wire slack to pull the connector up to the master cylinder reservoir, tap it there.
This new race box definately fuels much lower in the band, not much lag, much more smoke, egts quickly get up to 1300*. But I have a stock air intake and turbo. The factory turbo is not efficient at 42 psi and it just overspeeding and creating excessive heat.
I am very pleased with the new box, Thanks Quad.
