hey guys, bought a bully dog tripple dog tuner used from an outta state buddy. cant update it because it says I need to set the truck (his truck) back to stock..... but I cant! anybody know a way around this?

 

Your Buddy put the screws to you, it is still vin locked to that other truck. You can try calling Bully Dog, but I am not certain it will help, maybe some one else has experience with this.

^^^^ x2. Good luck with that. He may have set the programming back to stock, but probably not the tire size, speed limiter, etc.

Just call bully dog and explain this to them, you can send it in and they'll reset it.

Id also yell at your buddy for selling you something that you were not able to use right out of the box

 

I would try callin bullydog one I had got locked up they were able to reset it over the phone

 

Now thats a crappy thing to do! Id be surprised if Bullydog would be so apt to help you over the phone. I would think that would mean any jerk can steal it and then use it.

Good Luck! I have had the Triple Dog in for 2 months now and LOVE it! I got 20 mpg .Oh and thats in the performance setting. On 37's not bad! I normally got about 13 mpg.
