I've also been considering both products. But have been reading alot on Preditor having idle issues and surging exspecally on 06-07's. It doen't seem that they have a fix just yet that works 100%.
Dollar wise you can't beat Preditor $300 differance over Smarty.

The idle does shake a bit once in awhile but overall the motor is quieter than with the Smarty. The surge is a pretty minor deal that feels more like a torque converter clutch not engaging/disengaging smoothly

Have to buy it separate. This week the intermediate hiccup should be fixed.

I noticed my idle a "tiny" bit less smooth than stock today. Seems like every other time I throw it in park I feel it. So minor though almost not worth mentioning..

This is my first programmer, but I am REALLY liking the Predator so far. Call me crazy, but I think if I manually shift the truck the converter locks MUCH better than before. I was climbing a pretty curvy steep hill today in 2nd at about 1800rpm, and if I just moderately fed throttle it felt like I was going to rip asphault...

The power feels very smooth, shifts are great, and VERY little smoke..

In a week the family & I are taking the trailer on a trip from So Cal to just south of Oregon to see the Sequoia's. After that I am changing to a diff. tuner, I don't want to do any changes before a long trip from home. The Predator combo seems awesome for the price. Upon my return, the Superchips will hit e-bay and I will go Diablo.
