anyone run a ppe on there cummins. how does it work for you.

my buddies dirtymax is running it and i never seen a truck come so alive. i think it puts any other chip to shame. he put down a cummins with a smarty and few extra upgrades like it was nothing. but to run his ppe he has lots of extras from transmission to injectors in order to run the upper stages.

then last night i raced my buddies powerstoke. no problem beating him and he had edge j/a. but he hooked up his ppe and he was just gone and blew my doors off.

 

Im runnin hot+2 and it runs like a scalded dog! But you need fuel system upgrades and a arson kit from wicked dieseld to take any kind of advantage of it!
If you have a auto you need at least a t/c and v/b if a stick i would reccomend a valair clutch.

 

Ive heard of stock Duramax's with the PPE doing a very hot and smokey 500-525 HP. To be able to put that down to the wheels you need to upgrade the Allison, and your turbo and pistons are on borrowed time. Now the Cummins with the Smarty Ive heard around 470 HP but thats also very hot. With that being said, yes in a drag race the Duramax will outrun a similar equipped Dodge. One thing about the GM pickups is that they are a good 300-500 lbs lighter. So they are going to be quicker if all your gonna do is through a chip on em and drag race them. Atleast thats my take on it.

 

Until PPE gets their ECM eating issues behind them, you might want to look elsewhere. Do a search.
