opinions on electronics .....

guess I'll try here......

Ok, I know it's a common question..... what to stack, what does what..etc.

My question is, in looking at my sig can you guys with similar set ups give some suggestions as to what will work best ?

Unfortunately, I had to give up the TST which seems to be to one box that those with lots of HP use. One day maybe Mark will have it figured out for the 07 but, they've had no luck so far.

Right now, I'll have a Smarty and a MP-8. I'll have the timing and pressure but, would I benefit by stacking a third box for duration/timing without using Smarties timing ?

Since the engine was just built I'll obviously need lots of dyno time to figure what works best but, I need to start somewhere though and hoped you guys could help. I expect some nice hp numbers just on fuel but there's always more to be had

You can, but the TST and SMARTY appears to be the popular combo. But since the TST doesn't work well on your truck you might want to try the new VA C5.

Thanks for the reply Mikey. I figure with the TST and Smarty already mentioned, there wasn't going to many other good options. I just wanted to hear if anyone had any good ideas. I was surprise to only have one response.

I suppose I should keep to myself more than just a few secrets about what's under the hood though

Well I was bummed to find out that the VA C5 doesn't work on late model 06 and early model 07 5.9L's.

I'm running out of good options. No TST, no VA, no EDGE (whether they got it working or not, last I heard it didn't )

With all the blown engines that are showing up.... it might just be a good thing to stay completely away from any electronics for the newer ECM until what ever the difference is from the older version is figured out.

Last time when I looked at the Edge website they had the J/A available for the 06.5-07 years. Only problem is that the Smarty and the Edge don't play nice together. There's always Quadzilla.

Yeah... they're selling them but, I heard from a good source they were having the same issues as the TST. I'll pass on issues for now

I'll just have to see how well the smarty and MP play together. I was thinking I may need more but, I very well may not ???
