Makes you wonder why they would be banned IF they didn't work.
I am running mine...I believe WHOLE HEARTLY that it works. I am just going to toss a baseball hat up over it IF I ever get pulled over again.
I have it hard wired from the back anyways...no visible cord!
These were bad...I should have been busted. I mean bad. I was too tired and worn from the trip to get my foot off the skinny pedal...LOL.

This article says "followed the test vehicle"... No wonder it has been proven to not work!
LOL
My take on all this...Rocky Mountain Radar has found a creative niche/loophole, and others ARE MAD ABOUT IT!
No one believed in electricity at first either...or most other advances either.
If you read all of the claims to why it does not work...they are very shady and most of those claims fall within the situations to where RMR says it won't work either...too close, from behind, etc etc etc.
Radar Ray is not fooling me...

I can tell you for a fact that Rocky Mountain Radar did not work for me. I was caught red handed in WV. I took the ticket like a man and when I got back, contacted them and they refused to pay the ticket because I had recieved it as a gift and when I registed it they told me was a lapse and it had to been done in 30 days, it was a get out of paying excuse. Anyway I put my Bell in and never have had a problem. Even about 4 weeks ago on 95 around Daytona Beach the law had a trailer set up around a slight bend and as you came around the corner they were using something, and it was not laser or regular radar bands. The reason I say this as my Bell unit did not do anything, or a least I thought, but about 1/4 mile there were about 20-25 cars lined up and after everybody, when I seen the lights a ways behind, I thought this would be the first ticket in over 10 years combined with the Bell, but they took eveyone of those cars on the side and back of me and I kept on going. Maybe I was lucky I dont know. Does anyone have any info on new radar or laser bands they are starting to put in service?
Anyway the Rock Mountain is a paperweight, IT DID NOT WORK!

I used to find myself always looking for the perfect radar detector and any other radar/li-dar jamming items I could find. Any trip I took was a personal battle against "da man". Looking back on it, I totally stressed myself out on those drives. Now, I just set the cruise at about 8mph the posted limit, and drive right on thru. I'm a much more relaxed person these days. Plus, my insurance rates are comparably next to nothing (I pay less now for full top of the line coverage on two new rigs than I did 10 years ago for just liability on one rig).
Just thought I'd chime in....
As far as a quality reply to this post, I watched Mythbusters when they tried to jam radar, and one of the things they stated was that LiDar was next to impossible to beat. I know up here in the NW, thats about all any of them use anymore.

When you drive 1000-1200 miles in a day...that extra 5-10 mph to me makes life FAR less stressfull and I get to sleep a lot more!
82 is crawling on I-80, I-70, I-15, I-84, etc etc etc out west...

Is This Also A Rader Detecor??
Because I'd much rather keep my trusted V1 that Ive had for 3 years w/o a ticket and I drive FAST. Thing about highend dectors is that is can spot the CHP before its too late.
I really dont like the idea of speeding past a CHP and have him hit the lights and attempt to come after me and then realize he didnt get a reading and than make his own personal judgment call on wetther to persue me.
When you see out huge 1 ton 4x4 diesel's bombing down the highway at 90mph and the slam on the brakes its obvious to all law enforcement that you are in fact speeding and will sight you.
And if its illeagle to own a jammer in all 50 states then I dont want any part in that because its obvious when the CHP sees a lifted diesel running in the triple digets and the radar comes back with nothing and then I have all these gadgets attached o my winshield...... come awn...
I wouldnt mind one though but I think im doing ok. I do wish that it worked better around turns. Thats the only way you csan get busted is if there hiding around turns or use the new POP feture.
Thanks for your story

cquestad, you wanted to know how I was busted red handed, I had that rocky thing on the visor and as rolling through the hills headed north over a slight rise he was on the other side of this small rise and got me with a k band unit, I was no more than 100 yards from him (it blinked the pretty lights and beeped, but nada)and was only doing 6 over the 55 posted limit. When I make that same trip the same state guy is there, my bell unit picked him up maybe 1/2 mile, on straight aways sometimes as far as a couple of miles. My one foreman could not believe the range on it. Just my 2 cents.
