I think that you should make new recruits do something embarrassing... Like say they own a powerjoke or tamponmax.[laugh]

JD Dearden 08-17-2007 03:27 PM

Who says you guys are makin more power?

RowJ 08-17-2007 03:33 PM

I would not want to join any club that would have me for a member.... :)

I'll make pop corn and just sit back and watch this thread develop.
JD just threw down the gauntlet!
Just to add fuel to the fire I will say I 'released' 60 additional HP going from a big single to Trixie & Bubbles (my twins).

This could get better than the old tranny wars.... or which oil should I use! [laugh]

RJ

JD Dearden 08-17-2007 03:37 PM

Tell you all what I will zip tie a turbo onto my down pipe and say i got twins too.[laugh][laugh] You all know Shane's out twins blah blah blah stock tranny whhhhaaaattttt your done NEXT![laugh]

Now there is an idea... hmm... but we still need to attract some more members first. So lets say after the 20th member we come up with something along those lines... Any good ideas??

You see-- it does work!! Zip-tied extra turbo and a couple of DTR stickers and you got more power![dummy]

Did someone say we're making more power? I didn't see that posted anywhere.

Obviously plenty of guys are making more power with a single...but I bet their trucks sure don't drive/tow the same on the street. [laugh]

Actually I might take that bet. I'm pretty sure i've got my silverbullet dialed in. No smoke on take off (except the haze from my injectors) and immediate boost and spool up. It drives very friendly and spool up time is literally like stock. [coffee]

I haven't towed with it yet but i cant wait.

I think it would be interesting to see a thread on drive pressure.....big single vs twins like yours with a stocker on top.

Bring that beast up to 4000'+ and see how it drives! :o [laugh]

I've heard this twins setup has done 67psi max boost with 77psi of drive pressure. If that's the case then drive pressures should be really nice at 50-55psi.

D.Wiggs 08-19-2007 12:20 AM

Can I get #11? THat way I can be Mega #2 and Twins #11 since 2/11 is my B-day![guitar]

jwb600 08-19-2007 12:34 AM

a local truck had the bd power twin setup and it only had like 52psi of boost. I didnt really think that was impressive. my 05 with a little 66 would do that.
for the cost im gonna stick with a big single unless someone wants to sponser me anytime soon

Don't forget that boost means nothing; it's all about temperature and QUALITY of boost (i.e., quantity and quality of air being pushed through).

My current twins will push through like 1200 CFM of air @60psi but my new twins will do over 2000CFM of air @60psi. HUGE difference in power.

A friends truck wich was a 07 mega 6speed actually was able to spool a 66/16ss Better than a aurora 2000-5000 compond setup. Autos are able to spool twins easier than manuals he likes his big single setup now. He tows
10,000lbs very easy with minimal surging with 90 hp injectors. Besisdes If you are into competing good look because all the guys that pull in the open classes are around 1500hp. I think twins are great for racing in auto's just my .02

That's a suckers bet... of course you will dyno more, you know I'm not looking to get that high. Don't have the time or funds for all that work[duhhh].

But I'll let you know what I get when I get to the dyno, the mods in the sig already give you a pretty good idea of what I'll get.

He is right. Besides, mine are set to go no higher than 50 psi even if capable of more...

No studs...[verymad][dummy]

My truck pulls just fine no surge at all doesent matter if I am at 1700 rpm's or 2600 rpm's and when I am rollin down the freeway it just stays right at 10 pounds just waitin to pounce. And I still haven't hit 1400 degrees.

JD Dearden 08-19-2007 06:10 PM

I will have twins probably eventually but I will only buy one man's setup and they are a pretty penny but sometimes when I am driving up cabbage hill or whatever pullin 15k going 87mph at 1250 degrees and still have the ability to speed up I say self do I really need more?

D.Wiggs 08-19-2007 07:48 PM
