Just spoke with Dave at HTT and he said they are about to release a new turbo called the Super Stock 62SS with a 71mm turbine wheel. The SS stands for stainless steel and apparently it aids a lot in heat retention and energy transfer, making the turbo much more efficient.

Craig at Big Diesel Power has a test unit and after I spoke with him this morning he couldn't say enough nice things about it, including a spool up that's just as quick as stock.

71mm is the exhaust wheel. Last time I talked with Paul at HTT (this was back in late Dec or early Jan so a lot could have changed since then) it was MY understanding (he never directly said this) that the internals were very similar to if not the same as the standard superstock. The differance is the housing.

It has a 62mm compressor, hence superstock 62

 

im glad they are coming out with some new turbos im in the market for one in the next few months. I want something that spools fast.
