New Tranny....finally towed with it today...results...

All I have to say is man, this thing is awesome. Getting on the interstate I used to have to tack up to 2600 rpms to get rolling good. With the new tranny, I was at 2100 RPMs and it was even faster. When I hit fourth at 2100 rpm and then it locked up at 54 mph my rpm's dropped down to 1800 RPMS....PERFECT. My setup pulls best at 1800 RPMS (60 MPH). GCVWR was just under 18,000lbs empty. Picked up 60 50lbs hay bails (3000lbs). Added weight was no big deal at all. Truck still drove the same. I didn't really care how it acted empty, it was how was it going to do loaded. Oh yeah, before the tranny, to get my load moving I had to get on the go pedal perty good just to get rolling from a dead stop. Now, all I have to do it just press it every so gently and I am rolling.

VERY VERY Happy with it...... It's Perfect!!!!

Yep, a built tranny will do that for you. It's a shame they don't come from the factory that way. I remember when I finally got around to having the tranny done on the '02; it was a night and day difference. Enjoy.
