Removed the XZT module today and installed my X2 STd module. All seemed Ok at first but running with Recon gauges both pods started doing strange readings. Tried re-plugging all in again and all was good there but readings were strange still, jumping all over the place. Called Jeraimy and he had me try a few different things but no luck. Called back again and got Roarke and he after describing problem he suggested disconnecting boost connection from Recon. X2 Pod now seemed to work stabilize and work OK, he then suggested checking all grounds, found loose connection on Recon ground wire , tightened all grounds and now all works well. IF INSTALLING RECON & X2 BE SURE AND CHECK AND RE-CHECK GROUND CONNECTIONS. Simple fix for what appeared a major problem

On to a 4 mile review. Harness is excellent quality, module is bigger I'm sure to accomadate the faster/larger processor. USP updating is really simple, you will love that feature when the units are avail retail, power is very smooth much more so than the older series boxes & I really like getting water temp on the control pod, along with boost and easy to change on the fly settings.

Over all don't think you will be sorry when it comes out retail, I'm gonna give it a real trial Sunday running from Tampa to Orlando so will give you the real truth after that. Haven't tried level 4 yet but did download the milleage setting and don't notice anything that seems liek slower/lower power than with the XZT unit on.

 

Are you a beta tester or were you able to upgrade from the XZT to the standard x2. I would like to upgrade but do not know if Quad is able to make this upgrade at this time.
