Just wanted to say that I love my new trans... It is awesome. Shifts very smooth, but grabs hard when it shifts. Very good stuff. I had a good builder do the work. I found him on here a couple of years ago, but finally got a trans built.

McMopar is his screen name here. He is a very meticulous assembler checking and double checking all of the tolerances, and making sure everything was in the sweetspot. He took good care of me.

I stayed ina hotel about 3 miles from his place, and he picked me up in the mornings, and dropped me back off in the afternoons. I got there around lunch on Friday, and he had the trans out and took apart in about 3 hours. I am mechanically inclined myself, but the help I was able to provbide was limited by how well he had his craft down. Not really much room under our trucks for 2 creepers anyway, so I spent most of my time cleaning parts, which I am sure shaved off quite a bit of time from the build job anyway.

I do all of my own work on my truck, except this trans build, cause I have no experience with auto transmissions..

Great guy. We haven't met, but after I got my trans from dave a couple years ago, i was thinking about having a few changes done to the shift pattern and McMopar was quick to offer his help. I think I will have him freshen mine up next year as i will have close to 1000,000 on mine by then.

wow that is nice that he took care of you the way he did and im glade you like your tranny. customer service is starting to become a thing of the past and that is sad. Im happy to hear there are still people that care and double check their work.
