New brakes

Hi guys,
A few days ago, I asked about tricks & tips for pad replacement. Well, after I started digging into the rear brakes, I realized that every thing needs to be replaced. Pads, rotors, & calipers. Should I stay with stock?, if so, do I buy from Dodge or WHO??

If I go aftermarket, Who, what where & why???

Are aftermarket better, do they last as long & can I mix aftermarket with stock fronts?

Any info is greatly Appreciated,
Tim

I would stay with stock pads, other "life time warranty" pads usually squeak and make lots o noise

stock pads
turn rotors
clean all the rusty junk from the pad/caliper slides (I use scotchbrite)
high temp grease on all the sliding parts
brake kleen to clean the small metal shaving from the rotor after it has been turned.

that's all the tips I can think of.

I don't have much experience with high end rotors..
I read on SSBC website that drilled rotors are actually worse then a smooth or slotted rotor apparently the drilled holes make for less surface area for the pad witch actually increased breaking distances
they suggested a slotted rotor instead with no drill holes or a plain old school rotor.

BTW you need to fill out your sig so we know what you got

depending on price.... nowadays the dealer is cheaper on some things believe it or not
I would check the dealer first then call other's like Napa, AZ, Checker and just go from there.
good luck with it
Glad I could help
