6000 Series 4x4 (SUV & Light Truck) Brakes

An excellent solution for 4x4 use, this heavy duty Greenstuff formulation has slightly lower friction than its 2000 series counterpart (average friction coefficient 0.45mm) but has the benefit of longer life and better resistance to offroad conditions of dust and sand etc. It has an extremely low rotor wear factor and medium-to-good lifetime.

7000 Series SUV Supreme - Click here to read a review of this product!

For a small price premium over the 6000 series these pads are
THE ULTIMATE SUV FRONT END PAD
These pads will stop faster and last longer with almost zero brake dust and are EBC's premium offering for heavy 4x4s. These pads are GUARANTEED noise free. Average friction coefficient 0.45mm.

The features and benefits of this new SUV Supreme Range include

Chamfered and slotted

Factory shimmed with triple layer Wolverine shims

Coated with friction accelerator for fast bed-in

The small amount of dust which is evident after thousands of miles of driving with SUV Supreme can be washed away with a simple sponge and water or in any car wash, it does not take aggressive scrubbing or cleaning of the wheels as is common with many semi metallic fibre based pads. Offering up to 90% dust reduction compared to most original and aftermarket pads, the small amount of powdered dust which does appear is simply washed away during a drive through car wash. EBC SUV Supreme pads do not include any steel fibre or ferrous elements and therefore none of the dust etches or adheres to wheel alloys and gone are the days when SUV Supreme pad users will be spending Sunday mornings scrubbing alloy wheels clean.
So where do I get these?

Here is where I just ordered their 'yellow' diesel performance front pads and 'green' rear pads. Hopefully they are what they promise to be. I'll be using my stock rotors for now; will have them turned when the pads arrive here.

The 07, for some reason, does not have the brake dust problem. I wonder if they switched to a different kind of pad....
I will second the Kleen Wheels, they did the trick for me also, brake dust is history.

I put EBC brake pads on my wife's car yesterday and they seem to work perfectly. I got the Yellow pads for the front of the truck, and green SUV pads for the rear. All I need to do now is find somewhere near me that can turn the rotors off the front of my truck, and I should have the pads on by this weekend. However, the longterm life of the pads is what will tell me if they are a great deal or not.

I need to put front pads on my '04 so did a search on "pads" and came up with this thread. Been a couple of months since this was posted. How do you like the EBC pads?

Wagner brake pads from Oreilly Auto parts or whoever else sells Wagner. They stop better than the TWO sets of factory pads I've had, I can't post on life yet. 120.00 F/R from Oreilly. They also had an EXTREME DUTY set, but the guys said they 're for people who tow really heavy and they will eat up the rotors, so I went w/ the heavy duty pads, lifetime warranty.

I just installed the EBC yellow stuff pads over the weekend. I must say they help out a lot and much better feel over stock. I cannot comment on the dust yet, because they have a brake-in coating on them to help resurface the rotor and help seat the pads. I absolutely love these and when the rears go out I will use the same pads.

www.placeforbrakes.com is where I purchased mine and they were competively priced. I think the pads were around $120 or so. They do have the green stuff pads for less than $90. They also have the slotted and cross drilled/dimpled rotors for around $300

All in all, I highly recommend these pads, especially if you are running bigger than stock rims and/or tires.

I love the pads on my wife's car. The yellow pads on my truck feel no different than stock. No better, no worse. After the first 2000 miles, the brakedust is now fairly normal. The wheels have yet to turn black on me, but there is a slight haze after a few thousand miles. Basically about the same that my stock brakes were for me. The only test left still is longevity. Could swing the pendulum either way for me. Still have plenty of time left to test this (God Willing) Sorry I couldn't be more help.

I've gone through 3 caliper, 4 rotors, and 6 pairs of pads. The last Dodges were guaranteed for life which means they are harder on the rotors....I replaced the rear calipers last week and they gave me new pads for free as the pass rear caliper seized and wore the pad to the pins...They turned the rotor but it is 1/2 worn....new in 2005 at 85k miles now almost 200k. The truck has always stopped when I needed it to but alot of my miles are towing at 50% over the max. The last time I priced....you could get cryotreated rotors for the same price as stock and they came with I think Performance brake pads. The cheapest pads when I shopped around were $1- bucks less for a 2 year warranty generic brand....I'll stick with Dodge till these rotors are shot.

We need 4 piston calipers in the front (not two) and two piston calipers in the back (not one). Still, my Dodge stops wayyyyy better than the Dmax or PCroke and it weighs 1500#more. ks
