Need Help With Turbo Decision

Ok guys, just got the news on the stock turbo today. Cracked Exhaust housing so with replacing that and a rebuild, I am looking at $900 to get the stocker back going. I am looking into going with an aftermarket unit. I need some input on what everyone thinks would be a good choice for what I am using it for. I am leaning towards the Phat Shaft 62/12 right now. I do some towing, everything from running empty to pulling a Cat D5 Bulldozer. I want something reliable. One that is Direct Bolt on replacement. Not looking for a race turbo, but on the other hand want something that still has some performance to it.(don't want to be passed by those Power Strokes or Dmax's) I am not running the quad at the moment. So other than a K&N filter, and open Exhaust, everything else is pretty stock. Have been thinking about getting a Smarty or TST. thanks for all of the help guys.

I know where my stock turbo is sitting on the shelf, if you want a cheaper solution to get back to stock level .

my sps62/14 was a direct bolt on to the manifold, all the piping, and the exhaust brake. it helped tremendously for towing power and egt reduction. it spools pretty quick. supports a bunch of power. i really like it. i spoke to brent at industrial injection a few times before i bought it to tell him my usage and future hopes, and he sold me on that unit.

Another vote for a SPS62. I have been very happy with mine.

Although I'm not running a commonrail, I love my SPS 62/14, but would still recommend the 12cm housing for towing, just my .02.
