Those are pretty straightforward and easy.

You can buy them yourself if you want, but I believe he has sourced them to sell them for convenience while you are buying the other stuff.

Mike is still doing some work on his website. www.lazarsmith.com

He has priced it to be competitive with the DSS brace. Oh and Brett, sorry but you specifically have to say the full name every time...no shortcuts..

Say it slowly and distinctly.....STEEL STEERING SECTOR SHAFT STABILIZER.

Everybody else can call it a SSSSS.

Mike is an metal artisan by trade and a design genius, IMHO.
He took the traction bar concept and improved it subtly ......but significantly, for 4 ton pickups!

I know the DSS works, but it was designed before there even was a 3rd Gen CTD (I bgt one of the first ones). I'm assuming Mike felt there were improvements to be made to the DSS design, or he would have focused elsewhere. I have not seen one yet but feel sure the SSSSS is worth looking into for those without support on their steering box/pitman arm.

I have heard that the 315 BFG ATs are especially prone to DW and one reason I have avoided that particular tire. But I do plan to add some BFG 35'' Muds very soon. I had been reluctant to add any tire size until I got my popping straightened out. I have been happy with my BFG 285s and have about 50k miles of service out of them. But they are to small now, imo.
If that cleared up the "Popping" then I definitely need one. That racket has been driving me crazy for the last 3-4 months.

Give him a little bit of time...and he will get back to you, I promise. He has been covered up lately with a multitude of issues. Mike likes everybody!

BTW, I still love your set up of the 5th wheel RV put on top of the gooseneck with your jeep on the back!

It did definately clear it up. But that particular issue may have been fixed by the new offset bushings in the track bar more than the SSSSS. The SSSSS does tighten up the front end though and adds alot of stability to the steering box, like RowJ mentioned above.

The 3rd Gen trackbars have rubber-sleeved bushings (to control NVH) which allow unwanted (and dangerous in the case of Death Wobble-prone front suspensions) deflection and loss of stability. The upgrade bushings feature zero deflection to prevent cyclic lateral oscillation of the front diff while absorbing higher-frequency harmonics.
