Any way you can post some sound to that 5" straight pipe?

It sounds like something I wanna do, but don't want to get pulled over for being too loud, either...

Drive conservitively with a 2.25 shock, with all the weight these things have it takes a big shock to run much speed through the dirt.
I have run a shackle mount in the hitch as you plan to,watch out for it hammering the bumper when it swings

I got the mufler delete pipe and the band clamps installed two days ago......sounds really good!

I was fearing some god aweful loud noise, but it really does not sound all that different.

The 'raspiness', along with a significant increase in sound level it what I was worried about.

I now have a full 5" straight pipe exhaust, no muffler, no catalytic converter all the way upto the elbow.

It sounds better than I ever could have thought....and somehow it appears my EGTs dropped also.

I think I am going to take the 6" tip off and get it powdercoated......

Anyways, the frieght company called today and my lift kit will be delivered on Monday!

The kit arrived today via frieght company. It was wrapped and contained very nicely on a pallet.

After I pulled the coils out of the box, held the control arms, and unpackaged the huge shocks, I now realize why the entire kit shipped on a semi......

Those shocks look great! It would be nice if you could let us know how they work out for you once you get a few miles on them -- a comparison to the 5100's would be nice too....

When you get a chance could you let me know the part numbers on your coil springs? When installing the lift, be sure to note that the coil springs are numbered either with a PBK or DBK in the part number of each spring; "P" being passenger side and "D" being driver side. Not sure if the instructions for the 4.5" kit note that but I know the instructions for the 6" kit did not.

Tonight I installed the urethane bushing halves into both ends on the upper and lower control arms.

The bushing areas are nice because they are gusset reinforced and not just welded onto the tubes.

I used Mobile 1 synthetic grease on all areas of the bushing halves.

I also installed the grease fittings, which are also a nice feature. There are grease fittings on both ends on all the control arms.

Tomorrow I am going to install the bushing sleeves for the mounting bolts, for the control arms.

I am also going to run to the dealer and get some control arm bolts to have on-hand, in case I need to cut the stock control arm bolts.

Thanks!

Sounds like you've got it all planned out and things should go smoothly for you. Fabtech does include some nice quality pieces in these lift kits; I was really impressed with mine.

The only items I am waiting for are the Thuren end links.

I figure I can still install the lift kit, even if the links do not arrive on time and then just leave the sway bar off and re-install it when the links arrive.

You'll be fine. I had an aftermarket set of cheap links break and I ran without them for about a month or so while I was looking for a nice set.

Are the front shocks stem top? You still use your stock towers or Fabtech replaces them?

It looks like they are stem. I didn't know they did them that way my 2.25 or 2.75 w/ resevoirs came eye to eye. so we modified my towers.

They are 19" (lower) and 17-1/4" long (upper)
