Muffler elimination pipe
DmaxEter,
Just an FYI, but you'll likely want a muffler, most of our customers have and have gotten our MBRP performance replacement muffler, it bolts right on and even uses the stock rubber mount with welded hangers on the muffler etc. It's built from 409 stainless and sounds great, stock when cruising and deep tone when floored on an on ramp etc. Call us if you have any questions etc.

How ironic, I am a mechanic at my local Mack dealer. I would do the flex pipe, but thats an awfully long run for flex pipe? And also, my muffler has a hanger welded to it that I would have to eliminate with flex pipe. I guess I could just extend both sides and make a hanger then install a 1 foot piece of pipe? Thanks for the help guys. Cant wait to get it strait piped.

I have the Genos MEP and am very very happy with it. 20k miles and no drone even when towing heavy flat front car hauler. I think that the way you point the exhaust tip (factory tip, I do not have an add on tip) makes a big change in cab drone. Mine is high )close to the bed and as far back/out as the pipe will allow.
That being said I can hear the exhaust note but that is why I used the MEP, I like the sound

mine is staight piped and it drones btween 2000 and 2200 rpms on the hway. I just put rips 5.5" X24" and the drone is still there(looks awesome though). I don't have pics, but it is coming out at the corner of the bumper and extended a little. I might put the aeroturbine 4040 on. Will that stop the drone or do I need to get the 4040L? I still want it to be loud.
