Ok got the MP-8 in the mail today. Finally after weeks of sitting in Quebec (coming from Tx to Victoria) I get the old boy and go to install. Man the truck was sputtering and a chugging. I double checked the install, everything looked good so I called TS. They asked me to check the serial number and it looked like the 06-07 sticker was on top of another sticker. I pulled it off and sure enough the bottom sticker was for a 04.5-05! I actually pulled out the card and 04.5 had been crossed out and 06 was written in there. I think the tune is still wrong, and for the record the TS guys and Micah at advance performance were great. Before Micah sends me another one, any ideas on what I might try before I ship it back?

 

Are you certain all of your connections were tight? Other than that, sounds like you have the wrong box...

 

Man i hate to hear that mine works GREAT! They will fix you up just sucks that it was shiped that why. when you get you will be HAPPY!

 

if you plug it in backwards to the rail sensor, it will sound like a tractor at start-up. I've done it more times than I can count. If thats not the case and its just running funny, yea wrong version.

I put on MP8 on my truck again yesterday. Yep, thats 3 MP8's i've owned now. So far this one is problem free

 

yeah that was the advice of the TS guy. I checked and double checked it. I love the dial...It looks too cool on the dash. Just one more thing for my wife to ask about. I was really looking forward to having the mp8 on the truck, as I sold the TST and can only run extreme on the PMT. VERRYY SLLLOOWWW

Do you still have the 05 version MP8? I don't really need it, but for the right price I would give it a try. I 'll be in Ducan and maybe Mill Bay Tuesday, we could meet up if you like.
