Moded CP3 vs. Dual?

Ok im needing more fuel since im going with new injectors soon so the question is what to go with a moded cp3(i found a used II stage 2?) or dual cp3's from ppe. I really want the duals but what are the pros cons of each. At what point will i NEED a daul CP3 setup? How much will the II stage 2 help me? Thanks in advance!

I saw the used one also, and for that price, it would be worth trying. You could always sell it I'm sure. It beats spendin' $4k without knowing if you need to or not.

well pretty much anything beats spending 4K...I was hoping to here from some people that had dynos or track times with stock and then moded singles. And from anyone that went from a single to a dual setup...anyone?
Also the used II stage 2 cp3 i found, i went under II website and all i see is the modded pump and the grand poobah where does the stage 2 come in?

I e-mailed Chris at Relentless Diesel and he has a dual kit also. But he informed me that the power that can be made with dual CP3's really starts breaking drivetrain parts. And the EGT's are uncontrolable. After reading his response to my questions about the dual setup or his Hyperdrive I know that I will be going with his Hyperdrive setup. Mostly because I want my truck to be a daily driver and I am not in the max horsepower game. I just want 500 or so hp with a twin kit. But I am sure if your sights are in the 700+ range the dual may be the way to go.

You don't even need a modded CP3 let alone duals to run mid 500's or so...all day every day.

Sloverado hit 630something on a stage 2. He is suppose to be getting duels from floor-it very soon. He should be able to answer some of your questions.

As far as I know, the only downside to going with duals over a single is the argument of, "more parts so more can go wrong". Other than that, I think that duals will always be better than a single.

You should be able to make over 500 on a stock pump. Many on this site have. I made 526hp and 1062tq with stock pump and TsT.

i have a II stage 2, i have the flux 3s and would reccomend twin cp3s if you are going with flux 2 or higher. The II just couldnt keep up. my rail pressure would drop down to about 16K at WOT with the smarty on 6 and 2/1 on tst. Bite the bullet and get the twins. Just my .02
