Mileage upgrades

Looking for some help with upgrades that will bump the MPG. I have an exhaust upgrade and an air box. More power would be nice but really looking to get better MPG than I do Now (Average city/ highway around 19) Thanks all

When yo find the magic bullet let me know about it. I have a customer with a 08 6.7 liter that pulls a 3 car trailer and is whining about getting 10mpg. He wants to up his mileage, doesn't care about power just mileage. He never drives over 65mph.

Can I assume these mileage figures are done with a empty truck?

Wow 23-25 on the highway? I get 21.8 going 60 MPH and I thought that was great but 23-25 WOW!

If people don't mind the rattle and pinging, you can always advance the timing and get another .5-1 MPG out of it. For me, the pinging and rattle was just too much for me so I change setting on the Smarty with no timing. I did however do the tone ring mod and it was not enough to ping and rattle.

I think he is getting the better mileage (23-25 mpg) over most because he has a 2wd. For the first poster, the 4x4, 315s, leveling kit, and the bad highway gearing of the G-56 all work against you. Honestly 19 MPG for mixed driving with your truck is very good already. Out of curiosity, have you adjusted you speedo for the new tire size?

Swaping the 315s for some street t/a stock size tires and a Smarty Jr will get you better mileage. 19mpg is doing pretty good already expecially with those tires. Are you hand calculating the mileage?
