loosing mass oil!!! HELP!!!

changed oil in my 05 a couple weeks ago. Late this evening i was flagged down and informd that oil was pouring from my engine. Sure enough it was blowing oil out of a hose from the crank case i think. What causes pressure to build to blow oil out. truck has 62484 miles or so it says. the oil is coming out of the a tube that is vented to atomsphere from a black box on back of the head called air breather vent. it has not blow by no white smoke, no black smoke, water level is same, and it calls for 3 gallons of oil, i put rotella 10 w 40 and a guy told me that sometimes rotella will expand and blow out, u have to run it a qt low or so. I found out that the hose the oil was coming from is a envior vent. I was asked does this have a diaphram in it, I couldn't answer that question. If anybody could help me on that I sure would appericate it. Also the oil psi goes to zero when u let take foot off fuel to turn or stop.

I'v used rotella before, and it's never expanded that much. I'm not saying it can't happen, it just didn't happen to me.

How is your oil level? If it's not down by a lot, consider that an injector might be stuck open, and adding diesel fuel to the crank case.

Bet your oil level is way over full, & you have blown an injector seal., & are leaking fuel into the oil. Get it fixed asap, or your engine is toast.

I agree, check oil for fuel. Sounds like you have a cracked injector causing fuel to leak into the oil. This is terrible for bearings etc, etc. ussually ends up in a full lower end rebuild. I hope that's not it, but it sounds like it is. Good luck, Rye.

You definitely have at least one injector body cracked!!!! Just finished up my buddies '07 last week....said it started running poorly and shaking...pulled over and saw oil blowing out of the crankcase vent tube.....oil all over the underside of truck. Limped it 3-4 miles to his home and shut it down. Pulled dipstick and had about a foot or so of oil showing on the dipstick. Pulled the injectors out and sent to Don @ F1 and found out he had 3 cracked bodies and 2 cracked tips.

We drained almost 6 gal of oil out of the pan!!!! Put the freshened injectors back in and all is well now. By the way, the F1 100hp injectors are amazing!!
